The army has been at the forefront of medical, dental,veterinary and nursing care since 1660. The museum shows the contribution made by the army in these four sciences.

Community Museum since 1883, one of Reading Borough Council's cultural services, providing opportunities for learning, inspiration and enjoyment through our collections.

We use our diverse collections to explore how the skills and experiences of rural people, past and present, help shape our lives.

Part of Hampshire Cultural Trust, the museum tells the story of daily life for both soldier and civilian since 1854.

The Group of Friends was founded in 1987 with the object of providing a focus for all those people with a mutual interest in The Aldershot Military Museum.
