The borough of Erewash lies in east Derbyshire and was formed on 1 April 1974. It has an estimated population of 112,200 people and its main towns are Ilkeston, Long Eaton and Sandiacre.
Council staff are based predominantly in either Long Eaton or Ilkeston town halls. There are currently 51 councillors serving wards across the borough.
Erewash Borough Council provides a range of services including refuse and recycling, planning, parks and culture and leisure. It also controls West Park and Victoria Park Leisure Centres, Sandiacre Friesland and Rutland Sports Centres and the award-winning Erewash Museum.
