Anglian Community Enterprise

General information

Anglian Community Enterprise (ACE) was launched on 1st January 2011 as a new social enterprise. We are a community interest company, limited by shares and employee owned. Before this, we were part of NHS North East Essex.

As a social enterprise we want to involve our staff, patients and the community in decisions. We have set up a successful staff council which is able to influence the decisions of the organisation.

We provide a wide range of NHS Community Services to the population of North East Essex (predominantly), South and West Essex.

We also provide Learning Disabilities Therapy, some Specialist Nursing and Health and Well-Being Services in North Essex (covering North East Essex, Mid Essex and West Essex).
ACE has a history of safe, efficient service delivery. Each year we generate income approaching £56 million.

We maintain a NHS ethos and abide by the NHS Constitution. We continue to embed the National Nursing Strategy – ‘The 6C’s of Care and Compassion’ – Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage and Commitment –  across ACE.
