General information

Gemstones Brazil is an international wholesaler of fine gemstones, many of which are produced in our own mines, which we operate as ecologically as possible.

Maíra Toledo Rodrigues established Gemstones Brazil in Europe in 2008. Her family have been involved in the mining and production of minerals and gemstones for more than a decade in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, one of the most mineral-rich areas of the world. The family owns and operates several mines in the beautiful Jequitonhonha Valley in the north east of Minas Gerais.

At Gemstones Brazil, as we strive to produce the finest quality of beautiful gemstones for the European, Asian and North American markets, we also do all we can to ensure minimum disruption to our environment. Of course, we also prioritise the health and safety of our staff.

We are proud to follow green initiatives and to ensure that all of our licenses and registrations – such as the Environmental Impact Assessment Certificate - are always up to date. We take our responsibilities to both our employees and our ethical customers extremely seriously. We are proud to be able to provide our customers with information on the provenance of all of our stones.
