General information

I have been playing the piano since I was 6 and feel passionately that music should be part of everyone's lives. I have taught the piano to children and adults, both beginners and returners, since 2005, with a break to raise two lovely children.

I accompany Lisburn Harmony Ladies Choir on the piano and have enjoyed doing so since it was formed in 2010. LHLC is a 60-strong community choir led by Kirsty Orr and they have moved from strength to strength. I also accompany students sitting music exams on other instruments.

Until June 2013 I ran Belfast franchise of Musical Bumps, a pre-school music education provider. Musical Bumps runs weekly classes for babies and toddlers accompanied by their parent or carer, as well as sessions in pre-school settings such as nurseries and children's centres.

Previously, I sung with the Grosvenor Chorale here in Belfast, played piano accordion with Cuckoo's Nest morris dancing in Brighton and worked with Brighton and Hove City Council in their well regarded music service, teaching electronic keyboard to music students in primary and secondary schools. I also play cello, trumpet, guitar and percussion.
