Taipan Combat

General information

Since January 2013 it has been with great pleasure that Master Steve von Leuchtenberg has bought Taipan Combat to the Scorpion Martial Arts Academy.

Master Steve von Leuchtenberg 4th dan, has over 30 years martial arts experience in Karate, Aikido, Ju Jitsu and various other styles. Over these years he has found that on a like to like basis these techniques work but when one art is put against another there are openings, which Taipan Combat seeks to close.

Many people find the idea of sparing or entering a competition is not what they wish to do and wish they has a system designed purely for self defence, this is where we hope to fill the void. You will not at anytime be asked to fight in competition, however, you will be encouraged to enjoy seminars and visits to other clubs that Taipan has been invited to, also within UFKKA and Scorpion Academy.

Any person male or female over the age of 15 is welcome, we actively encourage all abilities as the system can be adapted to any needs, you are not expected to be super fit. You will be taught techniques that will allow you to protect yourself against one or more attackers that may be armed with weapons i.e knives.

Our philosophy within Taipan is that if you don't enjoy it you cant learn it, the system is not made to gain you points but simply to keep you alive.
