The Centre for Psychosexual Health

The Centre for Psychosexual Health (CPH) offers a new model for the understanding of human sexuality and psychosexual health that encompasses the physical, emotional and spiritual, as well as the social and cultural environment.

CPH was founded by psychotherapist and psychosexual therapist Cabby Laffy, whose new book Lovesex: An Integrative Model for Sexual Education was published in 2013 by Karnac Books. Our model incorporates research from neuroscience, complementary health therapies and cognitive behavioural therapy, along with psychotherapy and traditional eastern and western approaches to psychosexual therapy.

We approach sexual issues in terms of their therapeutic meaning and potential, rather than as ‘dysfunction’. Our approach uses sexual education, self-help tools and the therapeutic relationship to support clients to rediscover themselves sexually and to develop a more conscious sexual self-esteem. All our work is appreciative of diverse sexualities.

We provide professional training for practitioners working in the fields of counselling and psychotherapy, sexual health and/or complementary and alternative medicine.
