General information

If you’re reading this right now there’s no telling what you’ve survived up to this point in your life. So how can my story be any better than your story? It’s just a different version of misery, enjoyment, love, devastation, fun and suffering. With 19 years Army service behind me and ammunition box full of memories, I struggled to find a resource on the internet that would allow me to communicate to my peers, 3 years later I think we have come up with a solution that will suit your needs.

Having grown up in Northern Ireland during the troubles, we just went through life thinking this was normal and what went on here happened all over the world. At the ripe old age of 16, I persuaded my family that the army life was the way ahead for me, not knowing what was in store, my bags were packed and a new suit purchased then shipped out to England for basic training.

Knowing nothing about the military way of life and only seeing the army patrolling the streets around where I lived, I soon realised that it was the path I wanted to take. Keeping with the family tradition, I kept a low profile during training and always did what was needed to get through. After 19 years, numerous continents, injuries, promotion and great experiences I moved in the world of civilian life.

Now, I am at a point where I want friends that I had been fortunate to meet over the years to share their stories in a location where they can post images and talk about military life without offending any tree huggers out there.
