Yoni Jesner Foundation Company Information
General information
The Yoni Jesner Foundation was set up in memory of Yoni Jesner, 19, of Glasgow, Scotland, who was killed in a suicide bombing on a bus in Tel Aviv, Israel, on 19th September 2002. Yoni’s drive and determination led him to achieve more in his 19 years than many people do in a lifetime. His infectious enthusiasm and love of people left a lasting impression on all who came into contact with him. He was an inspirational youth leader and a true role model for many youngsters.
Through its work the Yoni Jesner Foundation inspires young people to do more and care more:
The Yoni Jesner Awards: in partnership with JLGB, the YJ Awards honour students who complete voluntary communal service.
The Yoni Jesner Scholarships: awards funding to exceptional young people (male or female) who wish to spend a gap year in Israel.
Through these projects the Foundation perpetuates Yoni’s memory and continues the vital work to which he devoted his short life.
