Welcome to The Eco Workshop
The Eco workshop is a small independent gifts, homeware and furniture shop based in Dummer near Basingstoke. We take items that may otherwise end up in landfills and in a creative and innovative way Refurbish, Repurpose and Recycle them into unique, sometimes quirky, one of a kind items.
Our mission is to prevent wasting potentially useful items and our projects will always be made out of 90% upcycled materials.
When you purchase a product from The Eco Workshop, you’re doing two important things: Supporting a small business and helping the environment.
Since every product is upcycled no piece is identical to another. We aim to bring you unusual beautiful items for you house or garden and pride ourselves on having that something a little bit different giving each item a one of a kind flair.
We source most of the items ourselves then carefully restore them using Frenchic Chalk Furniture Paint.
Frenchic Paint is an environmentally friendly chalk and mineral paint, and is EN: 71-3 certified, meaning that it’s safe to paint nursery furniture. It is ZERO VOC and SOLVENT FREE with no odour. It is thick and rich with superior coverage. Don’t just take our word for it, give it go, you won’t believe what you’ve been missing!
We can upcycle any loved items that you may wish to restore with chalk paint. This is an amazing way to give a tired looking item a new and unique lease of life for a very reasonable investment.
We are also proud to be a stockist of the Frenchic range of paints, brushes, waxes and other products that you can purchase instore.
Upcycle is a term used to describe anything that is reused or repurposed from old things. Rather than recycling this refers to the breakdown of a product to its original raw materials. Upcycling is the process of taking an item that is no longer needed or wanted and transforming it from its original use to something that will provide better use and give greater benefit and joy to the owner. This could be as simple as giving it a lick of paint and some new handles or reinventing it to produce something entirely new, or as we like to say – better than new!
Creative work brings great joy and what’s better than immersing yourself in a fun project that can bring a sense of achievement and when it comes to upcycling and repurposing “the sky’s the limit”. This creative aspect and the fact that anything is possible is one of the greatest upcycling benefits.
We hope to set an example to others and raise environmental awareness and inspire you to venture into upcycling and help save our planet.
