Reflexology is a non-invasive and gentle therapy that enables the body to heal itself, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Evidence has revealed that hand and foot massage has been used as a method of treatment in India, China, Egypt and North America for 5000 years. It was introduced into the Western world over 100 years ago.

The human body is made of many organs and processes working together in harmony. When functioning effectively, the body is in balance. This balance is called homeostasis. If an organ ceases to function effectively this balance is lost and we become ill.

Reflexology is based on the principle that the anatomy of the body is reflected in miniature within zones on the feet. By using the thumbs and fingers to apply pressure it is possible to access all areas of the body and restore balance by relieving stress and improving circulation, allowing the body to heal itself. Reflexology can also be carried out on the hands for those who would prefer it, or who have and injury which would make working the feet difficult or painful.
