Established in 2005, VIP Records are one of the leading producers and distributors of Asian music within the United Kingdom. Specializing in the Bhangra & Bollywood markets, VIP Records quickly rose to dominance within a short space of time on the back of high quality music and professionalism.

VIP Records was launched by Vipen Kumar, who gives his thoughts on the label;

Specializing in the development and nurturing of talent worldwide, VIP Records embarked on their first release in 2005, with the hugely successful album ‘Party Time’ by DJ VIPS. To date, VIP Records have been responsible for over 80 releases, all distributed impeccably throughout the United Kingdom, and digitally.

VIP Records were the first major UK Asian label to embrace the digital revolution as early as 2006, offering new major releases for legal download under their 7digital platform. VIP Records quickly became the label who continuously strived for improvements in both their music and the way their music was distributed.

Having launched their label with the super hit single ‘Lus Lus’ (DJ VIPS – Party Time), VIP Records quickly became the label synonymous with iconic singles such as; ‘Kawan’ (Bikram Singh – American Jugni), ‘Daru Pee Ke’ (Specialist & Tru Skool – Repazent) & ‘Janaab’ (Northern Lights – Sparked) to name just a few. Alongside helping establish names such as JK, Tru Skool & MC Special as household names.

VIP Records are one of the few UK Asian labels who see their role in the development of new talent as imperative. Taking a, strong hands on approach into developing new talent and exciting performers – 2011 & 2012 will see these exciting new live performers come to the forefront as the new generation of UK Asian music.

Alongside developing new acts, VIP Records will continue working on their stable of internationally renowned household names such as; Tru Skool, JK, Jags Klimax, Manak-E & Twin Beats.

From ‘Party Time’ to ‘Gabru Punjab Dha’ – VIP Records have continued to maintain a high level of excellence within their releases, constantly pushing barriers, not only in their music, but in presentation and distribution.

2011 will see VIP Records embark into a new era, with exciting new artists such as Gurbhej Brar, Raman Aujla, AV, Jasjot Singh Ghuman and many more exciting performers. Alongside this, VIP Records will be delivering highly anticipated releases from Jags Klimax, Twin Beats & MC Special.
