When you’re the World’s Best, what do you do next? For David ‘The Weirwolf’ Weir CBE, and his inspirational coach Jenny Archer, the answer is legacy: with the launch in 2013 of their charity, the Weir Archer Academy,
they have realised a longheld dream to give sporting opportunities at all levels to the next generation of disabled people.
For health. For selfdevelopment.
For social inclusion. And for some, the ultimate sporting success.
3 GOALS To increase participation at grass roots level through schools partnerships, community projects and taster opportunities. To support amateur athletes and their coaches with worldclass training, nutritional advice, physiotherapy and coach education. To train the next generation of Elite athletes and
Paralympians and create a Centre of Excellence for disability sport. GET INVOLVED We’re well on our way, but
we can’t do it alone. We’re a charity and we need funding to support our activities; promoting and running the charity, providing equipment, training coaches, building facilities it’s an extensive list. But every little
helps!
With help from family and friends we also want to make a difference.
