Etchings are drawings which are made using a diamond tipped tool that permanently engraves the image directly into the polished surface of the granite.
Hand etching is useful in creating original artistic scenes and designs. 
It gives a deeper and more diverse penetration in granite’s texture in comparison to laser etching.
As a result, the picture created in this method is clearer, more detailed and its visual expression is much better. In addition to this it is a lot more hard-wearing  and more resilient to any kind of damages.  
Darker granites can only be etched resulting in the high contrast between the dark granite and the almost white etching. Any scene or image can be etched into the granite surface creating an image that will stand the test of time.
Once the etching is complete a white highlight is applied to the etching. This simply allows the etching to still be visible, gives more contrast even when the monument gets wet from either rain or dew.
Therefore using hand etching method granite is perfect to use in gardens, parks, cemeteries and also in outside buildings.
For the same reason our hand etching work can be also used in kitchens or bathrooms and no doubt it will create a beautiful and an original decoration.
Due to the portability of our equipment we are able to etch an image directly onto pre-instaled granite fixings either in the clients home or business properties.
