General information

The World Club Basketball Tournament, is the UK's biggest and No1 annual international tournament , which features international teams from around the world competing to be crowned WCBT Champions. The FIBA & Basketball England endorsed tournament is open to Men’s over 18 teams, and they must be registered with their relevant association during the 2016/17 season along. Players should also be registered with their relevant association. Any teams travelling from overseas should arrange their own travel and sports injury insurance. The tournament format will consist of two groups of five or 6 teams depending on the number of entries with the top two from each group progressing to the quarter finals, semi-finals then finals. There will be a dunk contest, merchandise, cheerleaders and a film crew on hand to film the event for worldwide syndicated media outlets. The event will feature USA Basketball Select as part of their European exposure tour and the Great Britain Police team as well other European teams from Turkey and France, and will also be filmed for local and overseas TV and social media outlets. The matches will be played on Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th September 2016 ,and teams will registering on Friday the 9th September or Saturday 10th by 9.30am. The first match will be start at 11am.
