General information

Our aim at Hummingbird School of Dance is to provide a safe and stimulating environment where students are supported and encouraged to develop at their own pace.
We strive to inspire students through encouragement, fun, friendship and a commitment to allow each and every dancer the opportunity to achieve their true potential.

We offer Pre-School ballet - a magical adventure each week.
Incorporating storytelling and exercises within each class, stimulates imagination and fun, whilst learning age appropriate steps in a creative atmosphere. Conducted to a mixture of classical and children’s music, the classes help to develop rhythm and musicality in a fun yet structure way. Use of props improves self-confidence whilst aiding development, and encourages co-ordination – a perfect way to start their dancing life!

From the age of 5 years old, RAD ballet classes are provided where students can learn the syllabus and work towards their presentation and examinations.
Alongside this we offer ISTD Modern Theatre classes, which are highly energetic and rhythmical. Modern Theatre is known for its theatrical qualities and is often seen on the stages of musical productions.

Our teachers are all fully qualified by the Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society of Teacher of Dance. Our aim is to create dancers with secure technique, beautiful performance qualities and a love of dance.
