Our Pet Friendly Northumbrian Holiday Cottages are idyllically located.
We have three cottages:
The Greenhouse and Greenleaf situated right in the Centre of the Historic Coastal Village of Bamburgh.
Ireby House offering panoramic views of the Northumbrian countryside, at home on our farm in Tranwell on the outskirts of the Market town of Morpeth.
Each providing the perfect base to enjoy Northumberland.
Whether you’re looking to relax on a beach and build sand castles or are in search of a more active break, we are perfectly located for all desires. We’re close to many fantastic attractions and places to visit – from the Arts and Culture of Newcastle and the history of Hadrian’s Wall up to the Castles and Gardens of Alnwick, Bamburgh, Walkworth, Morpeth and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, to mention but a few.
As well as running the family farm taking care of our flock of rare breed Ryeland Sheep my husband and I manage all aspects of running the cottages. We carry out most of the cleaning, take care of the bookings and maintenance ourselves. So we are always happy to help and you can be reassured of high standards of service and attention to detail.
On arrival you will find your holiday cottage warm, with beds made up, welcome pack laid out with a selection of Coffee & Tea, delicious biscuits, flowers on the table, locally made honey and a complimentary bottle of wine chilling in the fridge. We aspire to run our properties in as environmentally friendly manner as possible from the use of eco friendly cleaning products & air drying our bedding, to low energy light bulbs and locally sorced products for our welcome packs.

Our Three properties:
The Greenhouse: (sleeps 8) Large Four Bedroom House situated in the centre of the historic coastal village of Bamburgh, built in 1893 as the village grocers store. It Faces the tree lined village grove providing the ideal setting for a quiet relaxing break. We have carefully refurbished it over the last 8 years to provide a stylish family home with all the modern conveniences to make your stay relaxing and memorable. The Greenhouse also has the advantage of all four of the bedrooms being en-suite making it ideal for sharing with friends or large family groups.
Greenleaf: (sleeps 6) a newer two bedroom house attached to the rear of The Greenhouse enjoying the same central location within Bamburgh. This modern property is perfect for families with a large open plan sitting and dining room. Greenleaf has its own small walled garden with lawn and patio area which is beatifully sheltered making it a real suntrap. Greenleaf also has the advantage of a private parking space.
Larger Family Groups: As the two properties are attached we can also offer both properties together for larger family groups catering for up to 14 people.
Ireby(Sleeps 4) a large two bedroom cottage on our farm in Tranwell just 3 miles from the Historic Market Town of Morpeth. Ireby has plenty of private parking and a large fenced lawned garden with patio area. As it is a bungalow it is ideal for guests with mobility problems and includes a wet room with shower seat and spacious kitchen with eye level oven and microwave to make it more accessible.
