General information

Here is a little of my story and how I found myself doing what I do today.
I found myself at 23 a single parent with 3 kids under 3 with no money, no education, no job and absolutely no common sense. It didn't help I was painfully shy and could hardly look at anyone never mind speak to them.
My battle every day became just to survive, Im here so I must have managed it, however a daily battle it was thats for sure.

Im going to miss out the details of the next 17 years and that I was making far too many mistakes to mention and making no progress in my life at all. I made the mistake of rating myself on what appeared to be others opintions of me and this was so wrong.

This is where I put the stops on and I realised enough is enough. I was 39 yrs old and I still had nothing, no education, no career, no relationship, no home of my own. My cracks were on display to the world and I felt only what can be described as a failure and was totally miserable.

This was the point in my life when I knew I wanted change and to achieve this change I had to change and change now.

I read so many self help books and pushed myself into situations that I can only describe as painful, I applied for my first "real" job as a CSR in a contact centre and I was successful, this was a turning point for me, you have to talk to people in a contact centre, don't you? I found I had quite a good skill at talking and could build empathy with people.
Within a year I was a manager and coaching my peers on coaching skills, responsible for mental health in the workplace and supporting colleagues on their career journeys. with this my confidence grew and I found my place, I found I was good at something after all.

I then worked FT in Financial Services, passed my financial exams and studied for the last 6 years for my Therapy work and that Journey is still ongoing .

I love my therapy work and this has to be the most personally rewarding life role. I feel very blessed that I can help you move on from your own dificult or challenging times.

So, why am I sharing all this. I am sharing this not to say look at me, My life is so much better, isn't that wonderful. No, I am sharing this as a message to anyone reading this who may be feeling that they are in a rut and their own cracks are showing, life is tough and perhaps they feel it is too late to change.

My message is to you, that you can change, it is never to late. It is true saying that to have change in your life, then you have to change. I am not saying it is always easy. but each little step you take towards your end goal, will keep you motivated and excited.

Ask yourself what do you want to achieve and why? Then think about what you have to change to get yourself there. Setting short term goals which are realistic will keep you moving forward.

So if this is you I am talking to today. sit and consider your goal and truly know you have so much to offer and reach out and achieve your full potential.
