General information

Two narrowboats for hire for a relaxing British waterways holiday! We have been operating since 2012.

Gloria is 57ft (17.37m) & sleeps 2-4 people
Queenie is 50ft (15.45m) & sleeps 2 people

We are open all year round and keep the same price all year too.

We offer great flexibility in that you can hire our boats for any number of nights from whatever dates you want – subject to availability.

If you are new to canal holidays no problem - we will teach you how to handle the boats, offer advice on what routes to take and we’ll make sure you feel happy and ready to go off on your own. (The Bridgewater canal has no locks).

A barge holiday aboard Gloria or Queenie can be as relaxing or as active as you choose. You will have good access to the Cheshire Ring, The Anderton Boat Lift, the Rochdale canal, the Leeds Liverpool canal, the Trent and Mersey and the Lancaster canal.

We also offer static houseboat hire on our lovely moorings at the Bridgewater Marina (9 miles from Manchester city centre & 14 miles from Manchester Airport) M28 1YB.
