General information
Riding, drawing and smiling, that's me....Cycling is my inspiration. Why? Because I just love it, and whilst I ride I love looking about and seeing what catches my eye - whilst avoiding the wheel in front of me and the potholes.
I often get asked if I make all my own work. And yes, I do. I have a studio in Salford, where I make my prints and drawings and generally get messy and creative. Riding my bike is a great time for dreaming up new ideas, and musing about how to develop existing work. The road and the countryside I pass offer a great deal of inspiration, and I think of them as my outside studio.
My creative practice is based on a love of line, and the looseness of drawing and mark-making using drawing, printing, stitch and collage.
Plus it just makes me so happy to ride, ride, ride and then when I get home to make, make, make. Riding, drawing and smiling, that's me....
