Panantukan or Suntukan are terms of reference for Filipino boxing. Rick Faye summed it up when he said “Filipino boxing was everything that is allowed in western boxing and everything that's not.”
The rise in popularity of Filipino Martial Arts has been noticeable in mainstream media with its influence in fight choreography in films like The Bourne Trilogy and The Book of Eli.
