I offer a professional, friendly and confidential service and have over 20 years experience of counselling in mental health and addiction services within the NHS, voluntary organisations and private practice.

As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, I comply to their ethical code of conduct. I will respect your privacy, confidentiality and right to maintain your autonomy and I am committed to fairness, equality, avoiding discrimination and appreciate diversity. I strive to be empathic, sincere, respectful, fair, and competent throughout.

I will visit you in your home or workplace. Based in North Hykeham and Counselling Lincoln and the surrounding areas I will visit within a 20 mile radius of Lincoln.

I specialise in Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy which is especially helpful to people who are experiencing emotions such as:

Anxiety & Stress
Anger
Depression
Guilt

and who find these feelings can lead to behaviour that is unhelpful to themselves.

Pioneered by Dr Albert Ellis in the 1950's REBT is the forerunner to many of today's Cognitive Behavioural Therapies. REBT helps people to understand how their thinking can influence their feelings and the actions they take. It provides a method of changing unhelpful thinking that can often result in intense emotions and unhelpful behaviours.
