Ours Bar and Lounge.

General information

Dating back to the 1800's and only a short walk from the Crags, this pub has been in the centre of the community for generations. Over the last 20 years it has changed its name and tried to diversify without much success. We are now in the process of returning this once, much loved pub, back into a traditional community local that is appealing to all members of the community.

The bar opened in early December but the first trading month was difficult as it had previously been closed for 12 months having gained a bad reputation for trouble. During that first month customers soon realised that the pub wasn't going to run in the same mannor that had previously led it to close.

Very quickly the pub started to attract a new customer base. People that stayed away from the pub because of past troubles, soon started to return. Each nice new customer quickly told other nice people that pub had started to turn a corner. The rapid growth has now allowed us to start the refurbishment of what will become the brand new lounge.

Due to open at the end of April, the new lounge will allow us to focus on serving food throughout the day and launch a programme of entertainment five nights a week.

We currently serve a huge selection of drinks. We are confident you will find something to tantalize your taste buds that wont leave you feeling out of pocket. We show football broadcast on BT Sports and have a pool table that is JUST 10p a game to play.
