Bonjour Tonton

General information

Heidi and Tonton have been entertaining and inspiring children to love learning languages since 2009. The concept developed in parent and toddler groups and preschools throughout Exeter. It soon became clear that the learning programme was remarkably effective at teaching children simply and quickly so Tonton also started to show off his antics online in order to reach as many people as possible and to start them on a language learning journey.
Classes are so effective because they work on the principal that young children are natuarally able to absorb all language they hear around them with ease, so classes are constructed to feel like one big playful conversation.
Tonton's antics form the context for the language aswell as songs and traditional rhymes.
Children's behaviour and speech patterns are also mimicked so they are familiar with what they are hearing even though it is all coming to them in French.
All of this is a magic combination which means children learn effortlessly; they gain a positive experience from learning a second language and immediate satisfaction as they interact with Tonton.
Children who learn through Tonton's videos also experience immense learning pleasure as they are able to watch Heidi and Tonton play in French and understand the whole thing. This is of course as much fun for mum and dad to witness and join in with too!
