Little Sheffield Guitar Studio

General information

Sheffield Guitar Studio is based at Harland Works, a former file and saw manufacturers built some time in the late 19th / early 20th Century. It has been part of Sheffield’s rich industrial history as part of Little Sheffield and the John Street triangle (which includes other well known works such as Stag Works and Portland Works).

The area is enjoying a renaissance in recent years, with many small businesses, makers and artists occupying the former works and carrying on the tradition of local people crafting a living in humble surroundings.

I lovingly restored Unit 13, painstakingly scraping and scrubbing the characterful old floorboards (complete with industrial-strength muck and mire) and painting the whole room. It’s now a serene and stylish space to come to study, where music is the main focus, but wellbeing and development are fostered. Guitar lessons can be booked between the hours of 10am and 8pm, Monday to Thursday.

If you’re visiting during the day, I’d seriously recommend popping to the Harland Cafe, for their great coffee, and wonderful homemade meals and cakes.
