Staffin Island Ceilidh Band

General information

We are a five piece traditional scottish ceilidh band based in Angus. Our caller Chris is great at picking the crowd off their feet and onto the dance floor. He can keep a ceilidh running for hours without exhausting the dancers. Our guitarist Aidan adds a contemporary twist to the scottish and irish tunes, making our ceilidhs a feast for the ears and our experienced drummer Elle provides a lively upbeat sound which gets people hopping skipping and jumping from beggining to end. Michael is a perfectionist when it comes to playing the fiddle, he never misses a note and adds a bluegrass flavour to the traditional ceilidh tunes. Fionnlagh plays a mix of cape breton and shetland styles, which gives the tunes we play exciting rhythmical flare.
