CORPORATE HISTORY
GSI SpA started up in October 2002 as a spin-off company of Lonza Composites. The beginning is mainly characterized by commercial activities with CNH Group plants in Basildon, UK, and St. Valentin, Austria. Follows the acquisition of the complete clients portfolio of Lonza Composites, ISO9000 Quality Certification and a turnover rapidly increasing (2003-2004).
In 2005 GSI UK Ltd. is found and the strategic Joint-Venture with an English painter allows GSI SpA to provide a service always more closer to the needs of the key customer CNH UK.
In 2006 a new production line for Carraro Agritalia and the supply of CNH Italian plant in Imola.
When GSI SpA acquires Lonza’s moulding plant based in Scanzorosciate (Bergamo), the company rapidly grows going from 50 to more than 100 employees.
In 2008 the commercial activities in China give birth to GSI Shanghai Ltd. In the following year GSI signs a supply agreement with CLAAS, worldwide leading company in manufacturing agriculture machineries, and starts to produce new SMC components.
2010 shows a great dynamism of the company: GSI UK is closed and replaced by GSI Industrial Painting Ltd. The new born company plays as third party of GSI SpA in the supply of painted components to CNH UK. At the end of 2010 comes the acquisition of 100% share of Ranger Deutschland GmbH.
In 2011 the commercial division of GSI North America LLC is established. When GSI SpA acquires 60% share of Ranger Shanghai Ltd., GSI Shanghai Ltd. becomes a manufacturing company.
In 2013 the start-up of GSI do Brasil that launches its production line in the second half of 2014: one Headquarter and two Module Centers, the three of them next door to our top customers CNH, Iveco and John Deere. Icing on the cake: a press of 4000 tons with the biggest capacity of all Southern America.
In July 2014 GSI SpA launches the placing of 5 million Euros of debt securities; Banca Popolare di Vicenza acts as recruiter and authorized bank. In November the Group receives the offi coal Quality Certification of ELITE by Borsa Italiana (London Stock Exchange Group) to address the international community of investors.
2015 is a year of great expansion as the Group opens a new Module Center in St. Valentin, Austria, doubles its production capacity in the UK opening a new center for moulding and painting activities in Basildon, and reinforces its presence in China with the start-up of GSI Chongqing Co., Ltd.
From July 2017 GSI GROUP S.p.A. takes over GSI S.p.A. in the terms of a company rental agreement,
thus granting the full production continuity. The new company welcomes an important and solid partner,
operating worldwide in the design, production and sale of innovative and cutting-edge plastic components
for leading customers in the automotive, motorbike and appliances industry.

CORPORATE BUSINESS STRATEGY
The Group strategy follows those guidelines:
- the logistic displacement of production units, mainly for finishing production lines, close to the final customer allows to grant the client a top quality service, logistically efficient and on budget;
- to be a global supplier on the market in the production of oversize components made of composite materials.
