I am an Intermediate Junior 2 level Iyengar Yoga Teacher and have been practising Iyengar yoga for over twenty years, first qualifying as an introductory teacher in 2009.
I embrace the challenges and benefits of Iyengar Yoga, as a teacher and student.
Iyengar Yoga is a form of Hatha yoga named after BKS Iyengar. Classes are made up of a series of postures (or asanas) which focus on alignment of the body to achieve flexibility, strength and a quieter mind.
Props, such as blocks, bricks and belts are used to help students work correctly and achieve their full potential.
