General information

I was born in Bulgaria and fashion has been my passion from a very young age. My mother taught me to sew and we made all kinds of doll clothes. As a teenager I really enjoyed making clothes for my friends. It was so inspiring to see them look fantastic in my dresses I liked knowing that someone’s life is better because of what I did. I went to Fashion and Art school in my native town of Ruse. My teachers didn't just teach us sketching techniques, but also imparted practical knowledge that helped me a lot to get my first job. I moved to Nottingham 5 years ago where I met Daniel Hanson a famous fashion designer. He offered me a job and I had the opportunity to see the inner workings of a ready-to-wear brand, from the designing, sourcing and sampling to the production, editing and preparing. Our first project was producing 300 kimonos for the film 47 Ronin, starring Keanu Reeves. The core business for Daniel Hanson is nightwear, supplying stores such as Harrods and Fortnum and Mason. Daniel’s way of running a fashion business has definitely influenced me and set the guidelines for how I run my business.
