Julie Wilkins Nutritional Therapy Company Information
General information
Hi, I’m Julie. I’m 40 years old, wife to Simon, mum to Fred, and live in Bristol surrounded by my family and friends.
I love food, fashion, cooking, camping, holidays to Portugal, wine with my girlfriends and have a slight lifestyle magazine addiction!
After 20 years working in magazine publishing, I’ve followed my passion and realised my dream of offering Nutritional Therapy as a career.
Why did I get into Nutritional Therapy?
I stumbled across it 12 years ago when looking for answers to my own health issues. Having suffered with chronic IBS for several years, I noticed that the medication I'd been given by the Doctor helped to relieve the painful symptoms, but I wasn't actually getting any better. In fact the IBS attacks were getting more frequent and the tablets were getting less effective.
After just 3 sessions and 6 weeks under the guidance of a Nutritional Therapist, the IBS attacks stopped and I was off the medication. In addition, I had lost weight, was bursting with energy and stopped getting those mid-afternoon energy slumps that had left me craving sugar. It was so very simple and effective, I knew I had to find a way to share with others the body’s amazing ability to heal itself given the right nutrients.
How have I helped my clients?
Since qualifying as a Nutritional Therapist I've helped people with everything from recurring coughs and colds to fertility issues, arthritis, depression and anxiety, and have even helped a client avoid surgery, much to the amazement of their surgical consultant.
My promise to you
Wellbeing and healthy eating messages are all around us these days, but how do you know what approach is right for you, and how can you make sure you get long lasting, sustainable results that fit in with your lifestyle, time constraints and budget? As a busy working mum, I know how difficult it can be to find the time to change eating habits. Everyone is different, and I will help you understand the messages your body is sending you about your health, and give you a personal plan to get it back on track, in a way that works for you.
