About Me

My name is Ceri Ward and I am a registered OFSTED childminder, I live in Hebburn with my husband and we are both enhanced CRB checked. Unfortunately we don't have any children of our own but we both have big families with plenty of Nephews and Nieces and we also have the honour of having Godchildren who are all an important part of our lives.

My Experience

In my twenties I worked as Nanny and a Nursery Nurse and have experience of working with children of all ages and abilities including those with special educational needs.

As a qualified Early Years professional I recognise that children will learn in different ways and develop at different rates and the care I provide takes this into account. Within my setting I provide an opportunity for children to participate in play and activities that assist all areas of development whilst ensuring they have fun while doing so. I maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment.
I love to observe as children progress, watching their self esteem and confidence build and their personalities develop.

Working With Others

I understand the importance of building relationships not just with the children but with their parents and carers too. Input and feedback is always welcome as I believe a partnership approach helps provide a level of stability and consistency which is helpful for the children.
I also maintain close contacts with other childcare professionals and I am a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY).

My opening hours are 7.30 am - 6.00 pm but with respect to parents/carers shifts and needs I can be flexible.
