General information

I provide great range of historical guided walks, talks & educational demonstrations. I also provide hands on workshops from both a historical point of view as well as the arts and theatre. There are over 120 historic sites to see my tours provide the best way to get up close and personal.

I have been running Glossop Tours for over 10 years, providing a vibrant array of events and guided tours. I like to work around what you want from your visit whether its architecture you are looking for or a ghost hunt! There is always something new on the itinerary such as this year we have guided tours of the set used in the BBC1's Drama "The Village".

The unique mix of our subjects and theatrical re-enactments provide informative and entertaining tours, regardless of whether our guests have been in Glossop for 30 years or 30 minutes. Each of our group tours is designed with the same philosophy as our tailor-made journeys – unique trips, that allow you to explore the highlights of each town whilst getting beneath the surface to discover the real people, buildings and cultures.

One of the key differences of our group tours is the small number of individuals in each group. We deliberately keep the numbers low, usually no more than 16, to make each group more personal. Travelling in a smaller group also reduces our impact on the environment and the towns, villages and communities that we visit. Have more than 16 coming to Glossop? Don't worry as we will just split you into two groups so no one is at the back snuggling to hear.
