SUZUKIDS

General information

I have been a professional cellist in the Philharmonia Orchestra and the BBC Concert Orchestra for a number of years. I first discovered the Suzuki method when a colleague suggested that my son learns the piano with a Suzuki teacher. My son and I observed a few lessons before he started and I was completely captivated by this method of teaching.

Since having children of my own I feel that I want to give back the knowledge that I have and pass it on to the next generation.

Suzuki says “ What a child becomes depends entirely on how he is educated”

“ My prayer is that all children on this globe may be fine human beings, happy people of superior ability…”

The studio is situated in a small village called Markyate a few miles outside of Harpenden and St Albans.

It is never too young to introduce music to a child and children as young as three can start to learn the cello. Individual lessons are weekly, supplemented by group lessons where child can learn along side other children and experience playing in an ensemble .

Adult lessons are also available. Beginners to experienced performers are all welcome and the lessons will be tailored to your individual needs.
