General information

AFA has been set up to bring like minded people together who want to explore and train in these diverse and interesting arts, whether experienced martial artists or complete beginners, male or female.

We train together without ego, helping each other to develop our skills with positive attitudes and good humor. No one in the martial arts got good alone, they had to have good training partners who worked together to encourage and support each other, after all, you need to train your techniques with someone in order to improve so we must show respect and help each other to develop. No one is better than anyone else, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses and anyone can get better with good training to help them reach their own potential.

It’s important to train hard and with the right intention but it’s equally important to enjoy the journey and have fun………otherwise why bother. AFA is the place to train martial arts in Essex.
