About Us

The purpose of this initiative is to help facilitate the transition of New Muslims into the faith by teaching them the foundations of the religion and more importantly, integrating them into the Muslim community. There are people out there who need our help, this platform provides a great opportunity for us to benefit others. There are people out there who have newly accepted Islam that do not have access to sacred knowledge, or do not know any Muslims and do not get the support they need or expect which leaves them with a fair amount of doubt. They are at their most vulnerable when they accept islam, they may have ties broken with family and friends, and lifestyle change can be overwhelming so it’s our duty as Muslims to get to these people.

The New Muslim Initiative endeavours to provide one to one support to reverts in order to give them the foundations to then go on and study the religion at a much deeper level at regular study programmes. The objective is to give them a holistic understanding of the faith and eventually bring about a lifestyle change.

We currently have a database of brothers and sisters who are able to teach the following:

Basic Tenets of Faith
Ablution & Prayer Demonstrations
Rulings of Prayer & Purification
Arabic & Tajweed

In addition to providing education, our organisation aims to integrate new Muslims into the community by inviting them to events, social gatherings, and spiritual retreats.
