General information
Jon Finnigan is a professional session drummer and drum tutor based in Cambridgeshire.
From the age of 11, he studied with drummer Roger Odell from 80's band Shakatak completing up to grade 8 for the Guildhall School of Music by the age of 15. He completed a Music Diploma at Drumtech Music College in London at the age of 18.
Jon has also studied with acclaimed drum teacher and professional musician Bob Armstrong.
Having played drums for over 20 years, he started gigging professionally at the tender age of 13 years old with a professional function band. Since then he has gone on to record and tour internationally with many artists including Julian Perretta (supporting Girls Aloud & Beyonce on tour), RPJ Band, Simon McBride, Don Airey (Deep Purple), Bad Manners, Oojami and Gang of Four.
He has a wide range of live playing experience including Glastonbury Festival, the O2 Arena and has played on several UK arena tours.
When Jon is not gigging, he teaches private drum lessons from his home in Cambridgeshire using techniques and teaching skills he has acquired over the years.
He teaches the Guildhall School of Music grades for drum kit.
