Each Scarf is designed digitally from original drawing and photography and printed at state-of the art facilities in the UK. The resulting luxury products are 100% silk twill and are finished with a hand-rolled edge. The manufacturing process is steeped in textile heritage; designed and finished in the historical giant of linen production, Northern Ireland and printed in an original ‘Silk Town’, Macclesfield, renowned during the Industrial Revolution

Our signature prints and patterns are inspired by the industrial, urban landscape. Using imagery that most would deem ugly, Katie Brown transforms these hard-edged sources through intricate pattern, stunning colour palettes and soft, draping silks to create a beautiful piece of fabric. We relish the challenge of altering the perception of the original imagery, daring customers to wear a scarf adorned with barbed wire. The current collection from Katie Brown stems from the skeletal skyline of the shipyards in her home city of Belfast.

Katie Brown offers a commission service for bespoke fabrics and pattern design, working to any brief. We are expert colourists and specialists in screen-printed fabrics.
