Length of Lessons: We encourage 2 hour sessions on a regular basis as this has proven over many years to be the most effective way to learn to drive and yield the best results. However, I understand that this is not always possible for all students so I offer either 1 or 2 hour lessons.
Learning to drive is a new skill which will stay with you for life, but it takes commitment from both parties. I commit to achieving a pass for every pupil in their driving test and regular lessons will be the ideal commitment from you. The more frequently you are in the car then the earlier you will achieve your goal.
Preparation for the Test: I will guide you through not only the practical test but also help with the theory test as this may be overlooked. I can arrange for a mock practical test to be taken with another ADI instructor allowing the pupil to drive the car under test conditions and gain experience of having a different person in the passenger seat other than myself. This helps because pupils become comfortable with their instructor and find it an extra pressure on test day when a stranger (the examiner) is in the passenger seat.
Motorway Driving: Motorway lessons are also available to all qualified drivers, whether new to driving independently or just requiring a refresher course, to increase confidence. Motorway driving can be intimidating to the most competent of drivers with HGV’s and high speed cars passing closely by but I will endeavour to give you the expertise to drive with confidence and safety on all road systems, including Motorways.
