General information

It is our purpose here at IMS Cardiff to provide a nurturing and professional environment for children to develop excellent musical skills as well as to provide a platform for adults to learn music. Through regular concerts, recitals and events throughout the year IMS Cardiff aims to create a community of music enthusiasts of all ages, abilities and backgrounds that participate and contribute to becoming a centre of musical activities in Cardiff.

At IMS Cardiff we strongly believe in holistic music education, involving individual one-to-one tuition at its core, but at the same time highlighting the importance of regular theory and musicianship classes, regular performance opportunities in student concerts as well as the exposure to professional recitals of various styles and genres. The Music Monster classes are an essential part of this as IMS believes the early involvement in music to be of great importance for the musical, but also the general personal development of a child.

IMS Cardiff believes that it is absolutely essential when learning music to learn it in a place where music feels like a real live experience. Our handpicked team of active, enthusiastic performers will inspire students both through their enthusiasm as performers and through the fact that the learning students are exposed to live concerts where they can hear their tutors perform to professional standard.
