David has been providing Chiropody / Podiatry in the Largs area and Dunoon and Cowal area for the last thirty years.

A" Largs Local", David has gained a reputation of being a caring, thoughtful ,reliable and friendly professional, who is fully qualified to provide Podiatry and Chirpody treatments for various injuries and conditions.

Earlier this year the practice was awarded membership to the Society of Chiropodist and Podiatrists PRACTICE ACCREDITATION SCHEME one of the first in Ayrshire.
In achieving accreditation status, David not only undertook a careful review of the practice, and asked another Podiatrist to check his findings, but also agreed to the practice being inspected by independant inspectors appointed by the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

David applied for Practice Accreditation because he felt that his clients have the right to be confident that their care is being provided within a safe environment.

The scheme, among other things, ensures that:
reusable instruments are properly cleaned and sterilised between patients.
staff engage in continuing professional development so as to keep their knowledge and skills up to date.
patient confidentiality is respected and the proper care is taken with patient informaton.
treatment options and costs are explained, where appropriate, so that the patient can make an informed choice;
appropriate referral pathways exist for patients, who need specialist care;
practice working methods are constantly reviewed
the practice has full wheelchair access

David therefore feels that you can be confident in the care that you recieve within his practice.

David is a past council member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. He is the present Chairman of the Argyll and Bute Branch of the Society and represents the Branch at the Societies Scottsh Regional Council, of which he is a past chairman.

David is a Fellow of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and was awarded the Society Meritorious Award for his work in promoting the podiatry profession in Scotland.

David provides services in Clinics in Largs and Dunoon. He also provides House Calls in these areas for those who are unable to attend a clinic appointment.
