Alphabet Playgroup

General information

Alphabet Playgroup is an predominantly English speaking playgroup however Welsh is frequently used during the session. We welcome all children regardless of race, colour, gender or additional needs and aim to provide a happy, safe and secure environment for everyone. Alphabet Playgroup is situated within the grounds of Undy Primary School. Our regulatory body is the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) whose regulations & Standards are adhered to by the playgroup. We are registered to take 24 children at each morning/Lunch club and afternoon session.

At playgroup children can play with sand, water, dough, jigsaws, toys, bikes, role play in the home corner or use our computers, listen to stories or sing rhymes and songs .We also have craft and painting areas. Children can participate in group activities such as circle time and story telling.

During session we also provide a snack of milk/water and cereal/fruit/veg. Monmouthshire council have awarded us a Gold Healthy Snack Award in recognition of the healthy snacks we provide.

We are open Monday - Friday

Early drop off is from 8.30am
Morning session runs from 9.00-11.30am.
Lunch club from 11.30-12.30pm
(including wraparound service to Undy Nursery).
Afternoon session runs 12.30-3.00pm.

We are reglated by CSSIW and are ESTYN inspected.
