Albatross and Mariner - Wedding Photographer

General information

So this is where I get to tell you a little bit about me. I'm not one for shameless self promotion so instead i'll just give you some of my key life stories in a few short sentences.

If you don't know already, my name is Nathan. I'm lucky enough to have a best friend, she is also my wife, IT'S AWESOME!!! Together we live in a little terrace house on the picturesque Isle of Wight with our incredibly naughty bulldog Lola. I always have some sort of beard, at this moment in time it's quite LARGE. A sucker for a Starbucks I'm fueled by strong coffee, and just to be clear, I'm the photographer behind "Albatross + Mariner".

I have always been a creative person, even as a kid. I think I was always happiest when i was making something. For years music was my creative outlet, I have played different instruments in various bands over the last ten years but ever since purchasing a DSLR back in 2012 I have had a bit of an obsessive relationship with anything and everything to do with cameras. I used to shoot landscapes solely! But after being introduced to wedding photography by a good friend of mine I knew that this was going to be the on going focus of my attention.

I believe in keeping things simple. I shoot in a documentary style, it's important to me to blend in with a crowd. The best images will come when nobody is aware of the camera, not when people are posed and awkward. If you are looking for a photographer to stage you and make you into something you are not then I am definitely not the photographer for you. Working in an unobtrusive way I aim to tell the real story of your day capturing those little moments that otherwise may go unnoticed. Wedding photography to me is documenting your story without words, I want people to look back at your photos and see your connection to one another.

I'm game to go where ever you can dream up, so let's jump in the car or get on a boat, go for an adventure in a forest or run along a beach & swim in the sea. Life is too short to be boring.
