Emma Ryan Private Tutoring

General information

I'm a qualified teacher with 7 years experience of teaching in primary schools and a further 10 years experience of tutoring piano and music theory on a one-to-one basis. I am registered with the Education Workforce Council and have a current enhanced DBS.
I have in depth training and experience in developing a wide range of skills. These include:
language development,
phonics/ reading using Read Write Inc and Jolly Phonics,
writing
maths skills, including basic core maths using Big Maths,
scientific inquiry
and music skills.
Additionally, I have experience of training adults in a work setting. I have a BA (hons) degree in English, a PGCE in Primary Education and music qualifications from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. This is also the examining board I use when entering pupils for graded practical and theory examinations.
As a pianist I have experience of providing accompaniment for weddings, funerals, baptisms, concerts, general church services and school assemblies.Additionally, I have led school choirs and orchestras, taught instrumental groups and led a church choir.
