Eagle Canoe Club

General information

Eagle Canoe Club is a general club where you can learn to canoe/kayak.

Our members range in ability and age and it is recommend that children that want to join be aged 10 or over so that they are strong enough to handle the canoes/kayaks.

Some of our members enjoy paddling as leisure activity and others enjoy it as a sport and even a career, but we all aim to enjoy ourselves!

Club Nights:
We have club nights every Wednesday evenings and fortnightly in the winter from 6:30pm where we do things such as paddle down the river, play games, practice safety and rescue techniques etc.

Equipment:
If you have your own equipment then that's great but If not then the centre have a wide variety of canoes, kayaks and paddles suitable for all abilities and types of canoeing. There are also wet suits, paddling tops and helmets you can borrow.

Pool Sessions:
If you enjoy kayaking then we do swimming pool sessions. We do this every other Sunday for kayaking where you can practice capsizing, rolling and general skills and techniques.

There is also a variety for lovely friendly coaches that are on hand to teach you new skills and to help you with anything you need.

The Club does loads of different events and trips such as weekend white water trips for more experienced paddlers.
