After years of working long hours in offices I know the toll it can take on the body & mind. The therapies I offer can all help to ease these stresses.

I decided to study Complementary Therapies after starting to volunteer at Strathcarron Hospice offering the Day Care patients hand & foot massage, a volunteer role I love and still do.

I have set up a therapy room within my home, which is on a working farm in Larbert. Here are the treatments I am offering at the moment but will be adding to..............

SWEDISH MASSAGE (60 mins £35/30 mins £20):

A Swedish massage will involve various, traditional techniques to relax the entire body. Each treatment will be tailored to your needs using oil, wax or lotion. The benefits include stress relief, increase blood circulation, relax muscles, improve range of motion, lower blood pressure and relieve aches & pains.

HOT STONE MASSAGE (60 mins £40/40 mins £25):

HOPI EAR CANDLING (Thermo Auricular Therapy) £25:

An ancient relaxing & calming treatment brought to the modern world by the Native American Hopi Indians. The treatment involves lighting a special candle (Hopi) impregnated with herbs, wax & honey and painlessly inserting it into the ear canal. It may help a variety of conditions of the ear, nose, throat & head. This treatment finishes with a lovely facial massage.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE (£25):

Indian Head Massage has been practised in India for thousands of years and is based on the Ayurvedic system of healing. A treatment will involve massage of the head, face, neck, shoulders, upper back & arms. It is a great treatment to reduce the effects of stress & tension while also providing physical benefits such as pain relief, restoring joint mobility and relief from headaches, sinusitis, insomnia and many more.

HAND & FOOT MASSAGE (£15):

Our hands & feet are always on the go but we don’t always take the time to look after them. Treat yourself to a relaxing hand & foot massage to restore healthy blood flow, relieve tension and reduce stress on muscles & joints.

NATURAL LIFT FACIAL MASSAGE (£25):

Who needs cosmetic surgery when you have this treatment? Also known as Natural Facelift, the treatment uses a combination of techniques from Japan & India to improve the complexion and help reduce wrinkles. The treatment increases blood circulation, strengthens & tones muscles and removes toxins which all contribute to that healthy glow.

REIKI (£25/hour):

Reiki (meaning Universal Life Energy) is a gentle, non-invasive healing system which is suitable for anyone as there are no contraindications. A treatment will be carried out fully clothed on a massage table or chair. The Reiki energy will then be channelled by the practitioner using various hand positions over the body and will flow to where it is needed.

It is a deeply relaxing and calming therapy promoting peace and harmony of the mind, body & spirit. There are many benefits including relief from the symptoms of stress, anxiety and aches & pains.
