Outdoor People have a passion for making the outdoors easy, especially for families and children. We THINK GLOBAL and ACT LOCAL. We want to radically change the way people think about the outdoors so it’s as essential for children as learning to read, having healthy food and being hugged!

We are a SHOP where we sell GREAT KIT! With big discounts for schools wanting outdoors stuff and tents for hire at prices everyone can afford.

We are a CONSULTANCY that supports others get outdoors on a local or global scale - do check out the global project we are working on, Outdoor Classroom Day! We have a small team available for projects on fundraising, policy development, strategy and programme design.

We are RESEARCHERS – collating and sharing what works and why the outdoors is important. Literature reviews and scoping studies, evaluations and think pieces, panel members and speakers for events. We are forensic in wanting to find out more and passionate to share!

We run EVENTS getting people outdoors and helping those that feel a bit nervous get comfy… thart might be supported camping trips, providing kit for organised events, film nights or Wild Walks in London.

And we run PROJECTS to get children and families outdoors, in particular Outdoor Family Camping and Hackney Wild Walks.
