Foxhole Community Garden

General information

Foxhole Community Garden CIC is based on a beautiful 0.7 acres of garden and orchard on the Dartington Estate alongside the Foxhole.

The garden is being developed to provide a place for the local community to grow fresh organic produce, be outside, cook fresh food and to come together socially and in work.

We aim to promote social inclusion for the benefit of the local community, particularly aiming to be a resource for those who wish to engage with nature and growing food at a gentle pace.

We will be running volunteer days, workshops and events with the focus on health and connection through gardening, food growing and cooking together.

The garden will provide safe accessible space for people to
*learn about growing vegetables organically using no-dig methods
*volunteer
*learn about low maintenance and small space vegetable growing
*attend parent and toddler growing and cooking outdoor sessions
*attend supported mental and physical health gardening sessions
*engage in other activities which will connect them with growing and cooking fresh produce in an outdoor setting.

A community garden is an accessible place to bring us together with nature, growing healthy food, relationships and bodies and minds. It can provide a place for respite, for work and for connection with the land through the common goal of caring for the garden.
