Maxine Molin-Rose - Harpist

General information

I am a professional freelance Harpist. I’m based in the North West of England and play the harp at wedding and events throughout Cheshire, Lancashire, Manchester, Cumbria, the Wirral, Merseyside, North Wales and Yorkshire.

I have always loved music and you could say that it is in my blood, as both of my parents were in the world renowned Halle Orchestra. I attended my first concert aged 3 and it was there that I fell in love with the harp and decided that was what I wanted to do when I grew up. I commenced piano lessons aged 4 and my life in music grew from there.

I went on to gain a place at the highly acclaimed Chetham’s School of Music where I furthered my studies under eminent harpist Elinor Bennett. At aged 10 I won my first music festival. Aged 15 I performed my first concerto and aged 16 I made my professional concert debut at the former Freetrade Hall in Manchester.

From 1989 I have pursued a busy freelance career with some of the UK’s leading Symphony, Opera and Ballet Orchestras including the Halle, BBC Philharmonic, Opera North, National Symphony Orchestra, Moscow City Ballet, English National Ballet, City Ballet of London and Saint Petersburg Ballet. I also have pursued a solo career performing concertos and recitals. I have entertained Royalty, and worked with a range of celebrities as diverse as tenor Russell Watson and rapper Kanye West. I also particularly enjoy adding the beauty of the harp to private performances such as weddings, birthdays, corporate events and many more.
