General information

Millfield House was built in 1850 and is located in the pretty hamlet of Maiden Law, County Durham, 1 mile from the beautiful village of Lanchester with plentiful local amenities and restaurants.

Set in the idyllic Durham Vale the house has beautiful views over the rolling countryside.

The House sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, one king size the other twin, in addition a travel cot and or blow up mattress for a child under 7 are available on request at no additional charge.

Recently renovated to a very high standard with a mixture of antique and contemporary furnishings. There is an enclosed secure sunny yard leading to a lawned area with seating for you to enjoy al fresco dining or a glass or two.

The owners live next door and will be there to ensure your stay is an enjoyable one.

Ideally located to discover Durham, Newcastle, Northumberland and the amazing North East Coastline.

One well behaved dog is very welcome with prior notice, an additional charge of £20 per stay.

No hidden extras

The cost includes electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and bath towels for up to four people.

We also provide a generous welcome hamper with coffee, tea, wine, homemade biscuits or bread as well as milk and fruit juice in the fridge to help our guests unwind after their journey.

Holidays of two weeks or more include a mid-stay change of bed linen and towels.
