No one person can create success on their own – it takes team work and a helping hand. The Blair Project is championing a new breed of motorsports talent – kids from ordinary families who want to make it to the highest echelons of motorsports, but lack the money to race competitively. That's where you can make a difference.

Motoracing is a very expensive sport where talent is not enough. The drivers who do make it to the top, are those from very wealthy families who can afford to pay £20 - 30k per season to compete in major championship races. Talented young drivers from ordinary families, must instead rely on sponsorship, donations or the goodwill of friends and families inorder to compete. Many are forced to abandon their dreams!

We exist to change this – through building a global fanbase for #teamBlair to get young talent motoring and create a level playing field!

Inspired by the grit and determination of 16 year old Blair Henry from Manchester, who financed his own go kart racing through selling sweets and drinks at school, the Blair Project symbolises the spirit of endeavour, team working, sporting excellence and victory over adversity.

This new social enterprise will raise £millions over the next five years through sponsorship, grants, gifts, awards, sports management, crowd sourcing and even its own clothing range. New stars will be born!

The Blair Project will officially launch during the week leading up to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone (3 – 6 July), with a celebrity event in Manchester. We will be posting regular updates and photos so you can track Blair's progress. He will be competing in the 2014 X30 Championships this season with some of the best drivers in the UK.

Blair's dream is to make it all the way to Formula One like his heroes Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton. And if he does, you can be rightly proud that you played your own part in making it happen.

He will be racing this season for the GW Motorsports Team based near Silverstone. And his first race meeting is mid-March. New website coming soon!
